The Bellagio Forum for Sustainable Development celebrates its 10 Anniversary Members Meeting on April 27-29, 2006 in Bellagio, Italy. Members of the Forum met once again to recapture some of the initial inspiration and vision and to address an ambitious agenda; Perspectives for the Future: Beyond Traditional Partnerships. A strong focus was placed on discussing the foundation's "new" phase of globalization, i.e. Global governance, long-term commitments in a world of "short-termism" and the need to act as "drivers of change" towards increasingly sustainable processes and lifestyles.
