The first emerging market investment which Dr. Willums established in 2001 was a project together with Driss Al Houari, a well-known Moroccan entrepreneur and business pioneer, and the founder of Casanet, the first Internet Provider in Morocco (since then sold to Maroc Telecom).

Focusing on technology investments with a “social dividend”, InSpire Maroc is building up IT-supported technology and services in northern Africa that have a strong societal benefit. Driss Al Hourari and his partners have built a training concept, where they develop young Moroccans to be “InSpire Entrepreneurs” by training hands-on entrepreneurship.
