The Zero Emission Marine (ZEM MARINE) Program was initiated aver preliminary work with Det norske Veritas (DNV) in 2011, exploring how the modelling and battery analysis can be used for the marine sector

The CO2 and NOx emissions from the shipping industry is a growing challenge that new regulations is addressing, and battery technology will play a major role in reducing the emissions. The experience of modelling EV batteries are directly applicable to the marine sector, and ZEM has therefore defined a plan for how the cor competence of ZEM - battery analysis and modelling of degradation, can directly be sued for building the right systems for the maritime sector.

ZEM MARINE's objective is to be the most competent systems integrator of large battery systems for the maritime sector.
